Juan Felipe Lince Ramírez

Born in Villamaría, Colombia, in 1989. From 2020 to 2022 he studied at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s IF International Foundation Trumpet Chair with professor Reinhold Friedrich, having received the Diploma to the most outstanding student of his chair in 2021.

After graduating in music at the University of Caldas, he specialised in trumpet at Barcelona’s Liceo Conservatory, where, between 2012 and 2013, he completed postgraduate and further studies with Maestro Josep Antoni Casado, thanks to a scholarship granted by Fundación Carolina. He has also attended masterclasses by Håkan Hardenberger (trumpet and wind ensembles).

He has been trumpeter of the Local Band in Manizales (2006-2012), member of the Youth Philharmonic of Colombia (2013-2019), that of the Orchestra of the Americas (2019), and permanent supernumerary of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá between 2017 and 2018. He is principal trumpet of the Caldas Symphony Orchestra.

He is winner of the 3rd National Inter-University Trumpet Competition and Festival in the intermediate category (2010) and that of the 1st Eric Aubier Latin American Trumpet Competition in the master category (2014).

As a student of the School, he has performed with the Sinfonietta, conducted by Baldur Brönnimann. In 2021 he participated in the 30th anniversary tour of the School with the Freixenet Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andrés Orozco-Estrada, with whom he performed at Madrid's Teatro Real, at Bratislava's Reduta Hall, at Budapest's Liszt Ferenc Academy and at Vienna's Musikverein. He has been a member of the Françaix Ensemble.

In 2022 he obtained a position at the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá.
